Our defined focus
How might we design a scalable system of modular elements that counter dark patterns in Swiss grocery stores, ensuring transparent and intuitive identification of local and seasonal products?

Field Research in Swiss grocery stores
Our field research made us realize how stores are purposefully designed to promote certain goods over others. What especially came to our attention was the amount of non-local and non-seasonal groceries being on display, while local and seasonal alternatives were hidden away in lower baskets.

User testing setup

User testing results analysis
To assess the impact of store layouts, we conducted A/B tests with a prototyped setup. Participants shopped from a list while identifying non-local and non-seasonal products. We measured speed, accuracy, and feedback to evaluate effectiveness.
